A 2 man delegation from the United States of America visited UIA for a fact finding mission about poultry production in Uganda. Mr. Christopher Kontonasios, the Chief Operations Manager of Zanchick, a poultry production company in Zanzibar said that each Ugandan on average consumes 2 kgs of chicken a year. This has attracted them to invest here and target the Ugandan market.
As a company, they wish to establish in Uganda to provide jobs to the Ugandan youth and sell their ready products to the East and Central African region.
UIAโs Acting Executive Director, Mr. Lawrence Byensi welcomed the project and informed these investors that UIA is committed to facilitating their project.
