He also informed them about the strategic access of market since Uganda is land linked to all East African markets.

He highlighted the various investment opportunities in the four priority sectors of agriculture / agro processing, tourism, oil and gas and ICT development. He informed them that effort is being done to improve the infrastructure, which will provide market access to and from all the market areas in the country. The Standard Gauge Railway was pointed out as an infrastructure that will link Uganda to the other countries within the region.

Eng Dr Sebbowa was pressed for an opinion on where there more returns on investment. He said the food industry and animal farming were very viable because the domestic market in Uganda would be able consume all the products. He encouraged the delegation to engage in value addition projects, employ and train Ugandans, as well as bring new technology into the country.
