The new Board of Directors of the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) has promised to offer strong support for the development of vital infrastructure in industrial parks.
While inspecting ongoing infrastructure development in Kampala Industrial and Business Park, Namanve, the new Chairman of the Board, Dr. Robert Kyamanywa, said the development of infrastructure in industrial parks is crucial to realizing Uganda’s industrialization agenda.
The Directors’ inspection tour focused on assessing progress, reviewing key milestones, and identifying areas for improvement to ensure the timely completion of the project.
The Directors appreciated the efforts of UIA management and the contractor and pledged to support them.
Other ongoing big infrastructure projects are in Mbale and Kapeeka industrial parks.
UIA operates eight public industrial parks, supports five private industrial parks, and is set to increase the number of public industrial parks to 25, spread across Uganda.
