Uganda’s coffee exports totaled 8.8 million (60-kg) bags in the year ending April 2026, fetching 2.4 billion dollars (UGX8.8 trillion).
This is contained in a report by the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries.
In the previous year (April 2024 to March 2025), 6.9 million (60kg) bags of coffee were exported worth 1.8 billion dollars (UGX6.6 trillion).
The differential represents an increase of 28 percent in quantity and 36 percent in value.
According to the report, Italy remains Uganda’s biggest importer of coffee, followed by Sudan, Germany, India, Morocco, China, Spain, the United States, Belgium, and Portugal.
