Marketing investment opportunities in Uganda
Uganda Investment Authority was established by the Investment Code Act 1991 (amended 2019) as the primary agency of Government to coordinate, encourage, promote and facilitate investments in Uganda.
Our Investment promotion efforts are therefore aimed at attracting and retaining value adding domestic and foreign investments in Uganda.
UIA actively organises and participates in various exhibitions, trade missions and industry conferences both in-country and abroad.

Investment Advisory Services
Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) was established by the Investment Code Act 1991 (amended 2001) as the primary agency of Government to coordinate, encourage, promote and facilitate investments in Uganda.
UIA advises Government on investment policy and advocates for a competitive business environment in Uganda and, therefore, is Uganda’s Investment Promotion Agency (IPA). As such, UIA is one of the MDAs mandated to implement Government policies and programmes to stimulate economic growth and improve productivity of Uganda’s Private Sector.
UIA also provides investment advisory services to potential investors looking to setup in Uganda.

COP 28
Over 400 million dollars in green investment commitments have been announced for Uganda at the climate change conference (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The green investment commitments, current and future, are for the next four years in the areas of renewable energy, water filtration and forestry.
Presidential Investor Conference
Addressing thousands of investors from across Uganda at the UIA-organised inaugural Presidential Investor Conference (PIC) in Kampala, President Museveni tasked the two government entities to develop clear and faster reporting channels for dealing with investment and business issues raised by investors.
