Take advantage of Uganda’s economic potential – President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has urged investors to take advantage of Uganda’s economic potential and boost its exports.

The President said this while meeting a group of investors in Uganda to attend the Pan-African-United States Summit, including delegates from America, India, and China.

The summit aims to strengthen trade and investment in Uganda, position Uganda as a gateway to key markets like the East African Community, COMESA, and Africa, and position Uganda as a hub for new technology and innovation.

President Museveni said investing in Uganda is unique in the sense that it not only has a conducive environment but also the potential to serve the bigger African market as well as other global markets.

The investors expressed interest in investing in various sectors such as manufacturing, tourism, food and vegetables, coffee, crafts, banana flour, and vanilla, amongst others.

They also expressed interest in setting up a computer assembling plant and positioning Uganda as a hub for technological innovations.
