In his remarks, Minister Kasaija commended Uganda Investment Authority (the project owner) and the contractor, Lagan-Dott Namanve Ltd. For the exceptional quality of construction works and the advancements achieved so far.

Investment Minister, Evelyn Anite, said: “We’re working hard to finish infrastructure works in Namanve Industrial Park in the next two years. Right now, there are 258 factories in the park but upon completion, the park will host over 500 factories which will create over 200,000 direct quality jobs”.

The infrastructure development will improve industrial operations in Uganda’s flagship industrial park. The incorporation of modern technologies such as fibre optic networks and a comprehensive CCTV system exemplifies Uganda Investment Authority’s quest to transform the industrial park into a technologically advanced industrial ecosystem.

The industrial park will have dedicated workspaces for micro, small and medium enterprises, ensuring that the benefits of industrialization permeate across all sectors of the economy and society.
